
Noemi Garau, PhD student at Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria’s CartCasLab has been awarded with the Progetto Roberto Rocca Visiting Student Fellowship for the 2021-2022 academic year and will spend a period of time as a visting student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to work on the project “Artificial Intelligence to improve Lung Cancer Screening”.
Launched in 2005 to honor Dr. Roberto Rocca (1922-2003), the Progetto is a collaboration between MIT and Politecnico di Milano, which support circulation of people, ideas and scientific practices between the two institutions through student fellowships and faculty seed funds.
