Veronica Grosso, MSc graduate in Computer Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and currently Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois Chicago, was awarded the Marisa Bellisario Prize in the “Recent graduates” category.
The award was given to her because of her exemplary academic career, determination and tenacity, which represent a model and example of competence and willpower to be valued and strongly pointed out to new generations.
The award ceremony took place on Friday, June 14, in Rome at the Colosseum Archaeological Park and was subsequently broadcast on Rai 1.
Now in its thirty-sixth year, the award – also known as the Golden Apple – was established in 1989 by the Marisa Bellisario Foundation and is given annually to women who distinguish themselves in work, management, science, business, social activism, culture and information, entertainment and sports, both nationally and internationally.
