Activities
The Dielectric and Magnetic material testing Laboratory is equipped with high voltage equipment and devices for the characterization of materials, with particular reference to the dielectric characteristics. The laboratory is used both for research purposes and for the execution of tests. In the laboratory there is a single-phase transformer with primary voltage of 380 V, rated secondary voltage of 150 kV and rated power of 4.5 kVA. The transformer is equipped with an OIP bushing having capacitive tap, rated current of 630 A and a rated voltage of 300 kV. There are also ancillary equipment such as electrodes in air and in oil bath for performing tests according to the standard.
