2012 - AMIGONI FRANCESCO
The PoAReT Team (Politecnico di Milano Autonomous Robotic Rescue Team) won the RoboCup Rescue Simulation League, Virtual Robot Competition, held from June 18th to 24th, 2012 at Mexico City. The team, led by Francesco Amigoni, consists of 6 students of the MSc degree in Computer Science and Engineering: Alain Caltieri, Riccardo Cipolleschi, Giovanni Conconi, Michele Giusto, Matteo Luperto, and Mladen Mazuran. The aim of the competition is to develop systems composed of autonomous mobile robots capable of searching victims in dangerous environments, for example in buildings where a collapse or a gas or radioactive leak occurred.
